Sidoarjo, 21–22 February 2026 – Singapore National Academy proudly hosted SNA Model United Nations (SNA MUN) 2026, bringing together approximately 150 delegates from various schools for two impactful days of diplomacy, leadership, and global discussion.
Carrying the theme “Innovation Meets Responsibility: Global Technology for Peace, Prosperity and People,” this year’s conference challenged students to critically examine how technological advancements can be used responsibly to address international issues.
Across committees (UNSC UNEP ECOSOC DISEC PRESS), delegates debated pressing global concerns, drafted resolutions, negotiated solutions, and practiced formal diplomatic procedures. The conference provided an authentic Model United Nations experience that strengthened participants’ skills in public speaking, research, critical thinking, and collaboration.
Special Visit from AYIMUN One of the highlights of SNA MUN 2026 was the visit from representatives of Asia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN). Their presence added international insight and inspiration to the conference, motivating delegates to pursue broader opportunities in global forums beyond the school level. The visit reinforced the importance of youth participation in international dialogue and showcased how platforms like SNA MUN can serve as stepping stones toward larger international conferences.
Developing Future Global Leaders With around 150 participants from different schools, SNA MUN 2026 successfully created a vibrant and competitive environment that encouraged respectful debate and innovative thinking. Delegates left the conference not only with improved diplomatic skills but also with expanded global awareness and confidence. Through events like SNA MUN, Singapore National Academy continues to demonstrate its commitment to nurturing globally minded students who are prepared to lead responsibly in an increasingly interconnected world.
